NavaBharat Ventures

Shift of business focus from ferro alloys towards power to yield rich dividends.

NB Ventures has realigned its business strategy towards the rapidly growing power sector. The company's power division contributed 95 per cent of EBIT in FY07, with an EBIT margin of 50 per cent. Power Capacity is being ramped up from 121 MW to 237 MW by FY09. Also, a 1050 MW Power Plant is to be set up by 2010-11 with Power Purchase Agreements secured for 75 per cent of power generated. The highly volatile ferro alloy business has been de-risked by power sales, since the company now has the flexibility to shut down its ferro alloy unit and sell power in case of fluctuating prices. Substantial value present in land holdings, comprising a 51 per cent stake in an upcoming 250 acre SEZ project and ownership of 68 acres in Secunderabad.

On the SOTP approach, NB Ventures seems a good buy with a target of Rs 268, a 64 per cent upside from current levels. The proposed 1050 MW Orissa Power Plant and value of land holdings has not been factored into the estimates.

Torrent Pharma is already trading around 250. What do you mean by "Stock will zoom to 140 levels"?

Is litika a better play than sanjivani (recoed by you earlier) in pharma sector? Rumors of interim dividend + v strong march results for sanjivani.
By the way, do you have a boarder id in moneycontrol?

yup litaka is a better player than sanjivani plus management is more reliable...sanjivani call was giving then n profitbooking was also suggested at higher levels....sanjivani management is not reliable so no investment call is advised on it...though one can buy arnd 27 for pure technical play n sell arnd 35....risky one though.....i dont hold any investment in the same....will pick litaka at declines..dont hold position as of now...ashu
